Australian singer-songwriter MYAMI took us by surprise with her surging debut track, 'Soldier', a few short months ago. This past week has seen the return of the Melbourne-based newcomer, with 'I OH I', another remarkably well-formed electronic-pop centrepiece. We're treated to a more soulful side to MYAMI's vocal at least, with laidback verses peppered over bursts of near-trap drums and glossy synth loops. There's no doubt, 'I OH I' has far more of an R&B edge to it than the out-and-out pop of 'Soldier', which only goes to show, MYAMI has no intention of sitting comfortably in one genre. We can't wait to hear where she takes her sound next. - DC
